It has been good to see posts here, I hope some more family write. The snow is pulling away from the house there is a lot of bare ground  but still much snow on the fields I have a few crocus blossemed my biggest ones come later, these some times I don't see as I am away when they blossom. This drivway seems to be drying up when I walked down to the mail box this morning much of it was not muddy, it is nice to be able to get out.. I am slowly getting things ready for my trip to Florida, I leave April 5 and get back April 17. I don't think I can keep up with the girls but I know I will enjoy myself.    I guess this is all for now.

I think every one has read Johnnies post , I have the list folded in the Christmas book, I know you all mean to put it in a safe place for when you get ready to shop, but I know too that sometime before Christmas I get call "whose name do I have?)                                                                                                                                The thermometer has risen to a saner number 14 right now, sorry the warmer temps also brought snow, glad Steve's furnace is doing better, I guess Gordon must have solved the problem with water, Brandon I had to look out on the deck to see if you got over for a shower. Hope Dale got thier broken pipes fixed, ( the joy of Maine in winter)

Another  snowy  Sunday afternoon and I am glad to have a book that hope is good, hope you all have a restful afternoon.

Did any one have lower temps than Dot's 21 below  ?

  •   I keep looking but no one has posted, it has been a very different Christmas, I have to say for me I have concentrated more on the Lord than the whoopla. Having the gang here Christmas Eve with some kids staying over was nice, first time that I remember in ages not haveing out of staters here., thanks Brandon for keeping things together, they most all slept later than usual we put it up to seven thirty, but most adults were here before seven. The stairs are getting full and what a cute set of little ones there are, in keeping with nice looking older ones. It was sort of quiet till lunch and some families came back, Tammy got a new game beside, her lovely chest, so she got some to play, then my Christmas (and every day) nap. later there was left over Turkey and fruit, and Apples to Apples. Firsr Christmas night for me by myself, missed you Deb. but I slept well and wouldn't have known if anyone was here or not.  I think the saddness from losing friends and famil puts a different perspective on things.

  • Yankee Swap

It was brought to my attension last night that next Saturday is Yankee Swap (how did that happen so fast)      There will be no baby sitters so children will have to be downstairs with thier parents keeping a close eye on there own. We will try to have a couple of play areas.  Our gang is growing, I guess it was too much for the sitters we have had.   Bring your favorite food, finger foods are great but there will be plates and plastic wear for hot stuff.   Oh Oh!!! Christmas is less than two weeks, YIKES
